  Principal Engineer

Bruce Campbell is Principal Engineer for Eaton Electrical Services & Systems, focused upon microgrid and distributed energy projects.  His role includes technical oversight of design and engineering, working with customers to understand needs and identify solutions, and exploring new solutions and technologies for microgrid applications.  He has led microgrid and generation projects across the United States, along with projects in India, Brazil, and Hungary.

Prior to his current role, he worked as senior engineer, then manager, for a power systems engineering team providing power quality investigation  & mitigation design, electrical power system system analysis, and designs for utility, industrial, and commercial power systems.  He has also served as manager of Eaton’s High Power Test Laboratory, conducting high-current testing for product development and third-party certification.  Other past experience includes design and implementation of generator protection, control & excitation systems, industrial automation, and AC & DC drive systems.

Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor of  Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, is a senior IEEE member, and is a registered Professional Engineer in several states.
